Participant funding notice
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) is offering participant funding to assist Indigenous persons, members of the public and stakeholders in reviewing CNSC staff's Regulatory Oversight Report on the Use of Nuclear Substances in Canada: 2017 and submitting comments, in writing, to the Commission.
The CNSC will hold a public meeting on October 3–4, 2018 in Ottawa, Ontario, during which CNSC staff will present the report to the Commission. This report will provide CNSC staff's assessment of the safety performance of licensees in the medical, industrial, academic and research, and commercial sectors that used nuclear substances in Canada in 2017, and information on the radiation doses received by workers engaged in this type of CNSC-licensed activity. It will also include an update on the nuclear substance waste sector for 2016 and 2017.
Participant funding up to $25,000 is being offered for the provision of new, distinctive and valuable information, through informed and topic-specific written submissions to the Commission.
To apply for participant funding, interested parties must fill out and return the Participant Funding Application Form. Certain terms and conditions apply. Submit the application form by:
